The High Low
The High Low is a weekly pop-culture and news podcast created and hosted by me and Pandora Sykes. Inspired by Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown, who coined the term ‘high low journalism’ in the 80s to denote an amalgamation of water-cooler gossip and hard-hitting cultural happenings, our new podcast is based on the belief that a life well-lived is one that enjoys both the trivial and the political, from errant chin hair to Trumpian politics. Each week, we dissect and discuss the zeitgeist with stories found far and wide, from brows high and low.
In its first month of existence, The High Low peaked at number two in the UK iTunes chart.We have since been sponsored by brands such as Google, Now TV, NARS, Sainsburys Home, Heist, Pop Chips and Papier.
We also host author specials and have interviewed writers such as David Nicholls, Leila Slimani, Renni Eddo-Lodge, Fatima Bhutto, Lindsey Hilsum, Nimco Ali about their respective books. In November 2017 we were thrilled to interview iconic editor, and inspiration for our podcast’s title and philosophy, Tina Brown.

In 2018, in conjunction with the publication of Everything I Know About Love, I created and hosted a podcast mini-series called Love Stories, in which I talked to guests about their most defining relationships.
There are 18 episodes to listen to online, including interviews with Vanessa Kirby, Stanley Tucci, Sharon Horgan, Lolly Adefope, Sara Pascoe and Marianne Keyes. It debuted at no. 1 in the iTunes chart.
